The latest issue of The New England Journal of Higher Education released this week features “Price and Value,” an article based on MassINC's upcoming report, "Planning for College: A Consumer Approach to the Higher Education Marketplace. The article summarizes the report, due out next week, by education consultant C. Anthony Broh and Dana Ansel , former MassINC research director, now with connect.edu.  In it, the authors warn that families are navigating a series of complicated financial decisions about how to save and pay for college with incomplete information. Providing better access to information would not only help individual families, it could drive reform and innovation in the higher education marketplace, and strengthen our national economy.
