Young nonprofit leaders to make meaningful connections at civic engagement networking event

Boston, MA – On April 29th, four of Boston’s civic-minded groups are bringing their communities together – and welcoming others – in an effort to share their work and increase their collective impact at the first social networking event at Ned Devine’s Tavern in Faneuil Hall.

Geared toward members in their 20’s and 30’s, this first N2N event kicks off a  partnership between these four groups who share similar mission-oriented initiatives and constituencies.  Organizers hope the event will provide an opportunity to connect on issues relating to corporate social responsibility, innovation in public education, the state of service, and other common causes.

The event, which has been broadly promoted through Facebook, Twitter, and other new media, is expected to draw around 250 attendees, many not affiliated with the host groups.  While there will be no formal program, the room will feature a series of “Table Top” conversation starters where people will cluster together around specific issues – making connections, engaging in discussion, and signing up to become involved in follow-up activities.  Individuals are also welcome to join the conversation virtually by using the #N2NBos hashtag on Twitter.

Ned Devine’s Tavern is located at 1 Faneuil Hall Market Place in Boston, MA.

The first Network the Networks (N2N) event is sponsored by members of the MassINC Associate Board in coordination with Net Impact, New Prosperity Initiative, and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network.
